Doisy & Dam, the ethical chocolate brand found in major retailers like Sainsbury's, Boots, and Holland & Barrett, approached us to elevate their ecommerce presence in line with their vibrant rebrand. As the lead UX/UI designer, I focused on translating the excitement and energy of their products into a visually engaging and user-friendly online experience. The goal was not only to create a visually compelling storefront, but also to streamline the customer journey and boost online sales. We also prioritized building an intuitive and flexible content management system, giving the DoisyDam team full control over site content, imagery, and color schemes. The result is a fully bespoke Shopify store that brings the brand to life online and empowers their team to manage it with ease.

Bespoke Shopify Ecommerce Website

We built Doisy & Dam’s bespoke ecommerce website on the Shopify platform to empower the brand with powerful ecommerce tools and an advanced content management system. As the lead UX/UI designer, I led the project through competitor analysis, design discovery, and strategic planning to ensure every page was tailored to Doisy & Dam’s bold, playful brand identity. We incorporated web animations and interactive hover effects to inject personality and bring the site to life.

The site was developed using cutting-edge tech to enable personalized user experiences, boosting engagement and sales. Nearly every section of the website is fully editable, giving the Doisy & Dam team full creative control over content and layout. We achieved a significant uplift in sales and conversions by reducing the path to checkout, implementing real-time search, and adding intelligent product recommendations. The result is a high-performing, vibrant ecommerce experience that reflects the energy of the brand and drives results.

Real-time Search & Intelligent Product Recommendations

The primary goal of the project was to drive an increase in sales, and to achieve this, I collaborated closely with Doisy & Dam to design and deliver a feature-rich ecommerce website powered by advanced technology. One of the key enhancements was the integration of real-time search functionality—allowing users to receive instant product suggestions as they begin typing. This not only accelerates product discovery but also boosts engagement by surfacing related content such as recipes and blog posts.

We also implemented intelligent product recommendations, leveraging data from a user’s browsing behavior, previous purchases, and overall product popularity. This personalized experience ensures that shoppers are presented with items they’re most likely to be interested in, increasing both convenience and conversion. And yes—thanks to a streamlined user flow, customers can reach the payment page in just two clicks. The result? A fast, intelligent, and high-converting ecommerce experience that delivers measurable results.
