As the lead designer on the Planera project, I was responsible for crafting a fully bespoke Shopify experience that embodied the brand’s progressive mission and bold visual identity. Drawing inspiration from the elegance of the Planera aquatic flower, I led the design process from the ground up—ensuring every element reflected the brand’s commitment to redefining the standard in sanitary care. Working closely with the development team, we built a completely custom Shopify theme, integrating Recharge for seamless subscription management and a tailored cart experience that supported flexible purchasing options. Every component—from layout to interaction—was designed with performance and KPI optimization in mind, resulting in a fast, engaging, and mission-aligned ecommerce experience.

Bespoke Shopify Theme Design and Development

As the lead designer for the Bio\&Me project, I worked closely with the team to ensure that every aspect of the design was tailored to meet Bio\&Me's specific needs. We leveraged Shopify's advanced features to create a custom website that would empower Bio\&Me to deliver a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. This meant integrating advanced APIs, content management tools, and app integrations that not only enhanced the customer experience but also provided Bio\&Me with powerful backend tools for easy store management.

During the design phase, we conducted extensive research into Bio\&Me's brand identity and goals to ensure that the store’s aesthetic and functionality reflected their mission of promoting good gut health in a deliciously accessible way. Our in-house design team developed wireframes for every page, including the homepage, the Build-a-Box feature, stockist page, product recommendation sections, blog, Instagram feed, and more.

By avoiding the use of standard templates, we created a fully bespoke Shopify theme that offered a unique browsing experience, one that stood out from other stores in the market and was aligned with Bio\&Me's vision. This custom approach helped establish a visually consistent and engaging online presence while laying the groundwork for Bio\&Me’s future success.
